This privacy policy applies to the Water Tracker Android app (“the app”), developed by Ondalo. It explains what information the app handles and the choices you have.
The content you create in the app (such as entries, items, logs, and calculations) is stored locally on your device. You can use the app fully without creating an account. If you choose to sign in (email or Google), your app data is additionally synced to our backend (hosted on Supabase) so it can be restored across devices. Data is always keyed to your own account and is never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
An account is optional. When you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile information (name, email address) solely to create and identify your account. To delete your account and its synced data, contact us at contact@ondalo.app — we will delete it within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) and Google Firebase to collect anonymous usage statistics (such as screen views and feature usage) and delivery of notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging). This helps us understand which features are useful and keep the app reliable. These analytics are not used to identify you personally.
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the app shows a consent dialog (Google’s certified consent management platform) before any ad is requested, and you can decline personalised ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device’s Google settings. See Google’s advertising privacy documentation for details.
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function (for example, notification permission for reminders you schedule). It does not access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new “last updated” date.
